Community Lenten Services being held at the Skyway to Heaven Church every Wednesday afternoon beginning at 12:15 pm from Feb. 18th to March 25th This year’s theme is “Cries from the Cross – The Seven Last Words of Christ”.

St. Patrick’s Day Recovery Party

Sunday, March 22nd

2 – 4 pm: Live, non-stop local entertainment at Sts. Peter & Paul Church. Free will offering at the door.

4 – 5:30 pm: Supper at Father Morriscy Centre. Home-cooked soups, stews, brown beans, chili; served with roll, beverage and dessert. $10 per person.

Join Nursing Home Without Walls on March 24th from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Shannex Losier Hall (515 Water St) for a Seniors Information Fair focused on helping seniors in the Miramichi area learn about services that support aging at home.

Meet representatives from a variety of community agencies including Extra Mural Program, the Department of Social Development, 211, Ability NB and other organizations that provide valuable programs, supports, and resources for seniors and their families.

This fair is a great opportunity to:

Learn about services available to seniors in the Miramichi region

Speak directly with community agencies

Discover supports that help seniors live safely and independently at home

Everyone is welcome to attend whether you are a senior or are looking for information for seniors. Come gather information, ask questions, and connect with organizations dedicated to supporting seniors in our community.

Loggieville Community Center is inviting you to an Easter Breakfast on Saturday March 28th, from 8 until 11am. On the menu is blueberry or plain pancakes & sausage, juice, coffee and tea. The cost is $5.00 per plate. The Easter bunny will be making an appearance and all children who attend will have their name entered to win a bike. Everyone welcome.

Beaubear Co-op is having free Easter cake decorating event on March 28^th from 11am-1pm. Limited to the first 100 children, 12 and under accompanied by an adult.

The Knights of Columbus Council 8381, in Nelson, will be holding their monthly funding raising breakfast on Sunday, March 29. 2026 from 8:00AM to 1:00PM in the Seniors Hall located at 26 Sutton Road. Cost is $10.00 for adults or Take-Away (622-1010), $5.00 for children and a Family Rate is $25.00. All are welcome and the Knights greatly appreciate your support. Hope to see you at the breakfast.”

APRIL 12

Royal Canadian Legion Br 10 Newcastle will be hosting it’s next crib tournament on Sunday, April 12, 2026. Registration starts at 12 noon with game play at 1 pm sharp. Teams of 2 at $20 per team. $2 buy in for Progressive High Hand. There is also a 50/50 draw. All over 19 are welcome to come play.
