The Loggieville Community Center is inviting everyone to come out and celebrate this year’s Loggieville Day, celebrations this year are kicking off on Friday August 21st, with a softball game. Everyone is welcome to play. This will be a slow pitch game and teams will be picked once everyone is registered. Game play is scheduled from 6 until 10 pm. Bring your own glove. Saturday August 22nd will start off with a breakfast from 8 until 11am. On the menu is eggs, sausage, bologna, hashbrowns, beans, toast, juice, tea and coffee. Starting at 1pm we will have lots of games for kids along with a family BBQ, cotton candy, popcorn and cold drinks. There will also be a Cornhole and Washer toss tournament for the adults and live entertainment in the afternoon. Finishing off with a dance from 9pm until 1am, with music provided by Millbank Music’s Planet Z DJ. The dance is a 19 + event. Tickets for the dance are $10.00 each and can be purchased at the community center. For more information about this year’s events call 506 773-4360.

Join the Miramichi SPCA on August 22nd from 12-8 for a fun-filled afternoon at Maurie’s Mini-Putt & Ice Cream!
Volunteers will be on site with a BBQ so you can grab a bite to eat, play some mini putt, win some cash with our 50-50 boards, and finish it off with some delicious ice cream! All proceeds from this event go towards the Miramichi SPCA.

Maple Glen United Church is celebrating its 125th Anniversary! There will be a special open-air service held on Sunday, August 23rd at 1 p.m. at the Maple Glen Community Cemetery located across from the church. Music will be by Second Chance and a BBQ and lunch will follow. Location is 1011 Route 435 Highway, Maple Glen. Bring a lawn chair and join in the celebration! Everyone is welcome.

Percy’s Place is hosting a Memorial Walk at Middle Island on Sept. 12 beginning at 6 pm. It is a night of remembrance for the entire community to honour the memory of loved ones. The evening features a memorial walk, live music, and a luminary display.

A Fall Market & Pie in The Face Fundraiser is being held at the Tuadook Village Community Centre, 2282 Rt. 420, Sillikers on Saturday September 19.
The Market will run from 10 am- 12 pm. Unique crafts, woodworking, gift ideas, delicious baking, jams and pickles. You will find something special for everyone. Free admission.
