The Royal Canadian Legion Br 10 Newcastle located at 345 Campbell Street hosts Karaoke every Friday night from 9 pm until midnight. Come on in to give us a song or just to listen along. Everyone over 19 years of age are welcome to come and play.

Hold on to those empties! The U13A Napan Braves are having a bottle drive on June 27th in Miramichi and Surrounding Areas from 10 until 1. Drop off areas include Miramichi Civic Center and LBA parking lot. Heberts Bottle exchange is now accepting donations on behalf of U13A Napan Braves. The Knights of Columbus Council 8381, in Nelson, will be holding their monthly funding raising breakfast on Sunday, June 28, 2026 from 8:00AM to 1:00PM in the Seniors Hall located at 26 Sutton Road. Cost is $10.00 for adults or Take-Away (622-1010), $5.00 for children and a Family Rate is $25.00. All are welcome and the Knights greatly appreciate your support. Hope to see you at the breakfast.

The Blackville Legion Branch #49, in partnership with the Folklore Park, is hosting a benefit concert for Ian and Margaret Craig, who recently lost everything in a devastating fire. Come out for an afternoon of community support and great music. Date: Sunday, June 28 Time: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM Location: Folklore Park, Renous Admission: Donations accepted at the door Events: Silent auction and live musical entertainment featuring talent from all over the river! All proceeds will go directly to helping Ian and Margaret rebuild.

Saturday, July 18, 2026 Annual Recreational Washer Toss Tournament & Community Picnic will be held at Tuadook Village Community Centre, 2282 Rt 420, Sillikers starting at 2 pm. Washer Toss, Axe Throwing & Games for Kids. Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Pop & Water will be available for sale (Kids under 12 can get One Hot Dog and Pop or Water Free). Recreational Washer toss sign up $20 per team (Limit of 20 Teams). Prizes 1st place $300, 2nd place $200, 3rd place $100.
