7 pm: Canada Day Concert at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (300 Newcastle Blvd – $15, children under 12 for free) featuring The Villagers, Friends With Heart, Bert Munn, Elizabeth Shafford, Miramichi Fiddlers, Gerry Roberts and Susan Butler).
JULY 1
7 am-Noon: Breakfast at the Newcastle Lions Club in support of Vondy House Hospice Miramichi ($8 per person, $25 for a family of 4)
10 am-Noon: KIDFEST Scavenger Hunt at Ritchie Wharf, hosted by The Point Church.
10 am: BBQ and Strawberry Shortcake Sale at St. Mary’s Church on Newcastle Blvd. (yard sale from 8 am to noon).
Noon-3 pm: Party in the Park in Queen Elizabeth Park (including flag raising, cake, live music with Ground Floor and BBQ in support of the Miramichi SPCA).
1 pm: Canada Day Parade in Newcastle (The parade will start at Harkins and proceed south onto Newcastle Blvd, continuing down to the Royal Bank, then turning right onto Pleasant Street, and ending at the east end of the Miramichi Mall parking lot).
2-4 pm: Music with Friends with Heart, 60s and 70s rock ‘n’ roll, will be at Ritchie Wharf after the parade.

5th Annual Thomas Dunn Memorial Slo-Pitch Tournament at the Blackville Ball Park. (washer boxes, Toonie tosses, 50/50’s, merchandise, Angels in our field bars, ticket draws, and lantern send off on Friday evening at dusk).
June 30
8 pm: Evening Entertainment in the Blackville Municipal Park with music by the Ladies of the River, plus BBQ and Curly Fries hosted by the Blackville Fire Department.

Noon-12 pm: Strawberry Social at St. Raphael’s Hall (105 Main Street) in Blackville. Cost is $8 Adults, $4 Ages 6-12, FREE for Kids 5 and Under
2 pm: Canada Day Parade on Main Street in Blackville, following by activities in the Blackville Municipal Park (Face painting, jumping castle, BBQ, cotton candy, and free cake).

ROGERSVILLE
8:10 AM Breakfast at the Rogersville Golden Age Club.
2:30-4:30 pm Canada Day activities on the Grounds of the Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption Monument. Kick-off with Senator Rose-May Poirier, plus musical entertainment, caricatures and fairground games. Prizes to be won. Bring a chair.

11 am: Opening ceremonies at the Collette Community Centre with local dignitaries.
11:15 am: BBQ (hot dogs, hamburgers and cake).

JUNE 29
10:30 am: 8th Annual River Run for Vets with departure from the Priceville Footbridge (no cost, no pre-registration required). Prizes for best dressed canoe, most patriotic canoe and most enthusiastic paddlers.
11 am: 3rd Annual Show and Shine at the Atlantic Salmon Museum in Doaktown, including a BBQ, 50/50 draw and market. Rain or shine.
11 am-5 pm: Doaktown Fire Department hosting a BBQ (by donation) at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 23 in Doaktown in Support of first responderss.
3-7 pm: Live music and Open Mic with Gary Long and Friends at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 23 in Doaktown. Admission is $10. There will be door prizes and a 50/50 draw.
JUNE 30
1 pm: Crib Tournament at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 23 in Doaktown (registration between noon and 1 pm).

9-11 AM: Celebrate Canada Day in the community park with bouncy castles, a petting zoo, pony rides, balloon twisting, face painting, cotton candy and popcorn.
11-11:30 am: Canada Day Cake in the community park.
NOON-3 pm: Canada Day at the Central New Brunswick Woodsmen’s Museum, including water play, games, cake, music, the Shake Batter and Roll Food Truck, plus so much more. Admission is by donation.
