City council is explore the idea of taking over ownership of the French Fort Cove Eco-Centre.
The city currently provides the centre with an annual grant, but does not have direct ownership of the facility.
A take over would also allow the city to transfer resources from the Lindon Rec centre, which staff has recommended be shut down and then torn down as early as next year.

City council may introduce a bylaw to prevent people from feeding wildlife in public places.
The city recently received a complaint about people feeding ducks at the Ritchie Wharf playground, which had lead to an increase in duck feces in the area, which is a health concern.
In addition, there are concerns about the interactions between wildlife and people.
Staff says there are similar bans in other cities to prevent issues related to humans feeding wildlife.
